At Sheikh Mujib's residence in Dhanmondi 32, a crowd of students continued acts of vandalism on Thursday morning. According to eyewitnesses, the unrest, which had taken place the previous night, resumed earlier in the day. Around 11:30 AM, two individuals, including a woman, were subjected to severe mob beatings during the chaos.
The woman became a target of the violent crowd after repeatedly saying "Apa, Apa" and expressing sorrow over the ongoing destruction, lamenting, "Apa's house is being destroyed." Her pleas, however, did not spare her from the attack, as she was physically assaulted and eventually dragged toward the main road outside Dhanmondi 32. While being beaten, she cried out, pleading with the attackers, "Don’t beat me, don’t beat me, brother."
At around the same time, a young man also fell victim to the crowd's aggression. Witnesses provided differing accounts of why he was targeted—some claimed he had chanted "Joy Bangla," while others alleged that he had acted inappropriately toward journalists who were filming the incident. Regardless of the cause, he, too, faced a brutal beating at the hands of the enraged students.
The morning's events mirrored the destruction seen the previous night, with Sheikh Mujib’s house at the center of violent demonstrations. The ongoing acts of vandalism and assaults created a tense and chaotic atmosphere in the area.
