The International Crimes Tribunal-1 is set to announce its verdict on Monday, 17 November, in a case concerning alleged crimes against humanity during the July mass uprising. The primary accused is the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The verdict will be broadcast live on Bangladesh Television, while the Ministry of Culture has arranged large screens at multiple locations across Dhaka for public viewing. It will also be streamed live on the tribunal’s official Facebook page.
Other accused include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and former Police Inspector General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, with the latter testifying in the case as an approver or state witness.
