A heavily pregnant woman, three months into her term, reported being raped in Batiaghata, Khulna. The alleged assault occurred late Monday night, and her husband filed a police report on Wednesday, February 19th. The victim is currently receiving medical care at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Authorities state that the woman was home alone when the incident occurred, as her husband was out fishing. A neighbor, Imran Hossain, is accused of entering her home and raping her before fleeing.
Police in Batiaghata are investigating the case, with Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Monirul Islam confirming they are pursuing the suspect, who remains at large.
