Natore’s 120 y/o blind muezzin Abdur Rahman, known for climbing a rope to call the Adhan, passes away

Abdur Rahman Molla, a 120-year-old blind muezzin from Baraigram in Natore, passed away at his home last evening. Despite losing his vision around 22 years ago, he continued to travel 200 meters to the mosque using a rope and bamboo to deliver the call to prayer five times daily. He had built the mosque himself after completing Hajj. His passing has left the entire Baraigram area in mourning.
