Meta has expressed interest in opening an office in Dhaka, Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs State Minister Shama Obaid said. According to her, the company discussed plans to establish a Dhaka office, highlighting Bangladesh’s large Facebook user base, which she said is bigger than India’s.
Meta also plans to support the growth of e-commerce and online businesses in Bangladesh. Discussions with the company also covered cybersecurity and related digital concerns.
