A demonstration titled “March for Dr. Yunus” took place at the Narayanganj Press Club, drawing widespread public participation. The event was led by former student leader Alif Dewan. During the rally, speakers strongly criticized the former government led by Sheikh Hasina, accusing it of suppressing freedom of speech. In contrast, they praised the current interim administration under Dr. Muhammad Yunus for reopening democratic space in the country. The speakers also demanded justice for more than 2,000 individuals who were allegedly killed during student movements, called for proper medical treatment for those who were injured, and emphasized the need for essential reforms before holding any national election. Highlighting Dr. Yunus’s honesty and his rise through merit, they urged the people of the country to stand by his administration for the next two to three years to ensure meaningful reforms and a fair electoral process in the future.
