‘Jumped out of the window’: Hyderabad man is the only survivor of Saudi bus fire that killed his family

A young man from Hyderabad, Mohammed Shoeb, is the sole survivor from his family after a tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia that claimed the lives of 45 pilgrims. Just hours before the incident, Shoeb had been sharing moments of his Umrah journey on Instagram. The tragedy occurred when the bus collided with a fuel tanker and burst into flames. Sitting next to the driver, he managed to escape through a window and is now in intensive care with burn injuries. His parents and grandfather, however, did not survive. Friends and neighbours back home are devastated, remembering the family’s excitement before the trip and struggling to process the heartbreaking loss.
