Grandfather Stabbed to Death After Reporting Harassment of 9-Year-Old Granddaughter to Police

In Manikganj, a 60-year-old man named Ali Azgar was brutally stabbed to death following his decision to file a police complaint against a man named Al Amin, who had allegedly been harassing Azgar’s 9-year-old granddaughter. The fatal attack took place at Azgar’s shop, where Al Amin, along with several others, confronted him in a fit of rage triggered by the ongoing police investigation. During the violent incident, Azgar’s sons tried to come to their father’s aid but were also assaulted by the attackers. After the stabbing, Azgar was initially rushed to a nearby health complex for emergency treatment and later transferred to Enam Medical College Hospital. However, doctors there declared him dead. Law enforcement authorities are actively working to track down and arrest those involved in the attack. Meanwhile, Azgar’s body has been sent for an autopsy to aid in the investigation.
