France has launched a modern visa application center in Dhaka to make the process easier and more accessible for Bangladeshi citizens. The center, located at Rangs Z Square on Gulshan Avenue, was inaugurated on Tuesday, 16 September, by French Ambassador to Bangladesh, Marie Masdupuy.
The facility will handle both short- and long-term visa applications. Starting Wednesday, 17 September, applicants can book appointments online through VFS Global’s website before submitting their applications.
Ambassador Masdupuy highlighted that the center aims to improve efficiency, reduce waiting times, modernize payment methods, and provide a smoother experience for applicants. Managed by trained staff, the center also offers premium services, courier options, and form-filling assistance.
While VFS Global collects applications, documents, and biometric data, the French Embassy in Dhaka retains authority over processing and final decisions. VFS Global has been collaborating with the French government since 2004 and now operates 70 French visa centers in 29 countries.
The Dhaka center will be open Sunday to Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and applicants must book their appointments online in advance.
