Four people have lost their lives in a fire at a residential hotel in Shahjadpur, Dhaka, though their identities are yet to be confirmed. The duty officer at the Fire Service control room, Rashed Bin Khalid, provided this confirmation to Kaler Kantho on the afternoon of Monday, March 3.
The fire broke out at Saudia Hotel in Shahjadpur, Dhaka, with the Fire Service receiving the report at 12:17 PM. Two Fire Service units promptly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the fire under control by approximately 1:00 PM.
Regarding the victims, the Fire Service reported that the bodies were found on the sixth floor of the hotel. One body was discovered in the bathroom, while the other three were located at the base of the staircase.
