Amer Mahdi Mansour, a young man from Libya, had long dreamt of circumambulating the Holy Kaaba. This year, he registered for Hajj, filled with hope and devotion. After completing all the required procedures, he headed to the airport, ready to embark on his sacred journey. However, things did not go as planned. Although his route to Saudi Arabia was through Egypt, airport officials prevented him from boarding the plane, citing security concerns.
Despite the unexpected obstacle, Amer did not lose faith. The flight eventually departed without him, yet he remained firm in his intention. He confidently told the authorities that he had made the niyyah (intention) for Hajj and was determined to reach Mecca, no matter what.
Then, something remarkable happened. The same flight that had left without him returned due to a mechanical issue. After being checked and cleared for departure once more, the plane was ready to take off again. However, Amer was still not allowed to board. In a surprising twist, the flight experienced another technical fault and was forced to return once again.
This time, the pilot made a powerful statement. He announced that he would not proceed to Saudi Arabia without Amer onboard. Following the pilot’s insistence, Amer was finally allowed to board the plane. With immense gratitude and emotion, he flew to Saudi Arabia and fulfilled his long-cherished dream of performing Hajj.
In a video message recorded after completing the pilgrimage, the young Libyan expressed his overwhelming joy and awe, saying, “My happiness cannot be described in words. Allah has shown His power.”
