Tollywood actor Allu Arjun was arrested this morning following a tragic stampede at the December 4 premiere of his film Pushpa 2 at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre. The stampede, triggered by inadequate crowd control and the collapse of the theatre’s main gate, claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, and critically injured her 13-year-old son. Authorities have filed an FIR against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management, citing charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and voluntarily causing hurt. Arjun extended his condolences, pledged Rs 25 lakh to support Revathi’s family, and assured personal assistance. Earlier, three theatre officials, including an owner, were also arrested as part of the investigation.
