Shafin Ahmed, a celebrated Bangladeshi musician and former frontman of the band Miles, passed away at 63 due to heart and kidney failure in Virginia, USA. Born on February 14, 1961, to renowned musicians Kamal Dasgupta and Feroza Begum, Shafin joined Miles in 1979. He left and rejoined the band several times, contributing to all their albums. Known for hits like "Aj Jonmodin Tomar" and "Phiriye Dao," he also released solo albums and ventured into politics, contesting the Dhaka North City Corporation election in 2019.
