Film actor Zayed Khan, actor Shahriar Nazim Joy, and 50 others have been charged with the attack on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's convoy on April 20, 2015. Band artist Asif Imam filed the case as a plaintiff in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki Al Farabi's court on Sunday. The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the Motijheel police to accept the complaint as a statement. The notable accused include actor Saju Khadem, former MP Sheikh Salim, Sheikh Helal, Colonel Farooq Khan, former mayor of Dhaka South City Fazle Noor Tapas, former MP Nixon Chowdhury, former mayor of Dhaka South City Said Khokon, former ministers Hasanul Haque Inu and Rashed Khan Menon, BFF president Kazi Salahuddin, and journalist Shaban Mahmud. The accused attacked Khaleda Zia's convoy with weapons, vandalized her vehicles, set fire to motorcycles, and beat activists. Pedestrians were injured when the accused threw bricks and stones at Khaleda Zia.
