New houses will be provided to 1,282 homeless families in Lalmonirhat

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will gift 1,282 houses to homeless families on June 11, 2024, as part of the fifth phase of the Ashrayan Project-2. She'll distribute houses nationwide and declare 26 districts as landless and homeless free. Since 1997, the Ashrayan project has rehabilitated 582,083 families, providing various housing solutions. The project focuses on economic empowerment, restoring dignity, gender equality, skill development, environmental conservation, and rural development, offering training and community infrastructure.
