After a 10-day restriction, Bangladesh has reconnected to 4G internet. State Minister for ICT, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, announced the restoration, initially disrupted on July 18 due to violent clashes and the government's effort to curb fake news. A fire at the Department of Disaster Management further severed broadband and mobile internet. While broadband resumed by July 23, mobile internet returned today. Palak also declared a free 5GB internet offer for three days.
