One person died while fishing in flood water in Nangalkot, Cumilla. He died on Wednesday (August 21) night. The deceased's name is Keramat Ali. He is a resident of Daudpur area of Nangalkot municipality. According to local sources, at night, Keramat Ali went fishing with a net in the flood water. At one point he was swept away by the strong current. Later, his body was found far from the spot. At that time, the locals rescued him and rushed him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. In this regard, Nangalkot Upazila Health Officer Devdas Dev said, Keramat Ali was brought to our hospital in a dead condition on Wednesday around 12 o'clock. The family took the body away when the doctor on duty declared him dead. It is learned that he slipped while fishing and was unable to get up due to the current.
