Md. Ashraful Islam, a lawyer from Tangail, was injured in a stabbing incident at the Supreme Court. The incident occurred in room 2005 of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque Bhavan on August 22. Ashraful Islam, who has participated in national parliament elections but failed to win, was stabbed by Advocate Abdul Qayyum. A video of the attack has surfaced on Facebook, showing him bleeding from the left side of his head after the attack.
