The interim government has successfully reduced the Padma Bridge project's total expenditure by Tk1,835 crore through an effective cost-cutting policy. Road Transport and Bridges Advisor Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan announced the savings at a press conference following an inspection of the project in Shariatpur. He also noted that with more effective governance during the construction phase, the savings could have been even greater.
