Dhaka police have detained four people over Saturday night's attack on Brownfish Studio, the ECB Chattar studio run by content creator Salman Muqtadir.
According to Cantonment Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Gias Uddin, the arrestees include Shahriar, alleged to have planned the attack. The other three are Md Mamun, from the Bhashantek slum, and Aslam and Munna, both from Majumdar Mor.
Police say the attack arose from a property dispute between New Gini Properties Ltd and neighbouring landowners. The OC said the developer had put up a gate that limited access for others in the area. The rival group then allegedly went to the site as a show of force. Police are still searching for others involved.
Muqtadir had rented a floor of the building from New Gini Properties for his studio, which was damaged in the attack. He had earlier blamed extortionists. He also said that about two truckloads of people forced their way in.
