Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed foreign diplomats not to make media statements about the recent unrest in Bangladesh. During a visit to damaged state structures in Dhaka with representatives from 49 foreign missions and 23 ambassadors, Hasan received expressions of support from the diplomats, who viewed the situation as an internal matter. He mentioned that the Home Ministry is addressing questions about casualties in the quota movement. Hasan also claimed that anti-independence groups, aided by the Pakistani community abroad, are spreading false rumors. He clarified that UN logos mistakenly remained on rented army vehicles during curfew but have since been removed. Additionally, he denied reports of a UAE visa suspension for Bangladeshi workers.
