A Bangladesh Air Force YAK-130 training fighter crashed into Karnaphuli river in Chattogram due to mechanical failure during landing near Boat Club in Patenga. Both pilots were rescued and hospitalized. The incident was confirmed by Inter-Services Public Relations and Chattogram Metropolitan Police. They were taken to Combined Military Hospital for treatment, as stated by Deputy Commissioner Shakila Sultana.
