A complaint register case has been filed against retired justice Abul Hossain Mohammed Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, a retired Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) founder and former president, for making derogatory remarks about BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman. The case was filed by Rabbiul Hasan Palash, the organizing secretary of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Farmers' Association. Manik's derogatory comments, which included misogynistic and insulting behavior, were widely disseminated through print, electronic, and social media. The case was confirmed by Rabbi Palash and a hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday.
