The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is carrying out an eviction drive targeting illegal constructions by Sadeeq Agro near Ramchandrapur canal and adjacent roads in Mohammadpur. Executive magistrate Mutakabbir Ahmed of DNCC Zone 5 is overseeing the operation to reclaim the canal area. While acknowledging the eviction, DNCC Ward 33 Commissioner Asif Ahmed Sarker clarified it isn't specifically targeting Sadeeq Agro. Despite claims by an anonymous official that Sadeeq Agro is renting the property and won't be disbanded, recent controversies over the sale of a Tk15 lakh goat to a former NBR official's alleged son have garnered public attention and denials from the official.
