Dipu Moni, a former social welfare minister, has been arrested in the Baridhara DOHS area of the capital. The case against her in Chandpur is being investigated by the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP). Dipu Moni was arrested in a murder case filed with the Mohammadpur Police Station on August 8. The case involved Dipu Moni and her brother JR Wadud Tipu for attacking Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik, the president of the Chandpur district unit BNP. The case involved 510 known and 1,000-1,200 unnamed people.
