Sajjad Hossain, a vegetable vendor killed by police gunfire during an anti-discrimination student movement in Rangpur, has been exhumed 44 days after burial for an autopsy. The body was exhumed under magistrate supervision and sent to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for a post-mortem. The exhumation was approved by the court, which granted the request. Sajjad's wife, Jitu Begum, filed a case against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 61 others, naming former prime minister Sheikh Hasina as defendants. The Kotwali police station is recording the case as a First Investigation Report.
