The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has instructed Mongla and Payra ports to hoist great danger signal number 10 as Cyclone Remal is now positioned over the Northwest Bay. The Met Office forecasted on Sunday morning that Cyclone Remal has intensified into a severe storm. Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar ports are to hoist great danger signal number 9. The cyclone is expected to make landfall on Sunday, impacting the coasts of Bangladesh and India's West Bengal.
