Dhaka court has placed several individuals, including former deputy speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku, former Deputy Sports Minister Arif Khan Joy, Awami League Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, former Chairman of Chittagong Port Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail, and BCL's Dhaka University unit General Secretary Tanvir Hasan Saikat, on a three-day remand in a murder case. Former state minister for posts, telecommunications, and information technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has been placed on a six-day remand in two separate murder cases. The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam. The court also placed Tuku, Joy, Hossain, Sohail, and Saikat on a seven-day remand in a case filed with the Adabor Police Station over the killing of Rubel, an RMG worker in Mohammadpur during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
