Ongkkojai Marma, hailing from a farming family in Paklapara, Patachhra Union No. 2, Ramgarh Upazila, Khagrachari, is the eldest of four siblings. He began his education at Paklapara Government Primary School, three kilometers from home. During the rainy season, the journey to school was often challenging. Encouraged by his teacher, Ongkkojai moved to Ramgarh for better education, joining Ramgarh Chowdhury High School in sixth grade and later transferring to Ramgarh Government High School. Financial difficulties led him to support himself by tutoring. Despite these challenges, he excelled academically, scoring a GPA of 4.50 in the SSC exam and 4.67 in the HSC exam. During his higher secondary studies, his mother was diagnosed with a severe spinal problem, adding to the family's financial strain. Undeterred, Ongkkojai aimed for university admission, inspired by Dhaka University student Mangsathoi Marma. He ranked well in entrance exams for Dhaka, Rajshahi, and GST universities and is now enrolled in the Banking and Insurance department at Rajshahi University. Determined to support his family and pursue a career as a chartered accountant, Ongkkojai remains grateful to his teachers and supporters.
