In Kalshi, Mirpur, protesting battery-powered autorickshaw drivers set fire to a traffic police box on Sunday afternoon. Pallabi police station's Inspector Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the incident and stated that measures are being taken. Earlier, a clash between police and autorickshaw drivers resulted in Sagar Choukdar, a 25-year-old tailor from Lalmatia, being shot near the Kalshi intersection. Sagar, who was returning home from work, was first taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. The protests began after autorickshaws were stopped in the Mirpur area following a High Court order, leading drivers to block roads and disrupt traffic at the Mirpur 10 intersection.
