Three assistant revenue officers from Dhaka Custom House have been temporarily suspended for misconduct with passengers in the customs zone of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.A.) International Airport in Dhaka. On Sunday, September 15, Dhaka Custom House Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sanzida Sharmin confirmed their suspension. According to sources, the officers are accused of harassing a passenger returning from Dubai under the guise of inspecting their luggage. The officials reportedly seized several items, including chocolates, soap, shampoo, and milk, from the passenger's bag. There are also additional complaints of misconduct with other passengers. Deputy Commissioner Sanzida Sharmin identified the suspended officers as Assistant Revenue Officers Al Amin, Azizul Haque, and Shimul Chowdhury. Further action will be taken following an investigation.
