Bangladeshi Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Rajib has announced his decision to boycott the 10th round of the Chess Olympiad, currently taking place in Budapest, Hungary, where Bangladesh is set to face Israel in the open section. The match, scheduled for today (Saturday) at 7 PM Bangladesh time, will proceed without Rajib. In a Facebook post, he explained his decision, stating, "In 2022, teams from Russia and Belarus were barred from participating in the Chennai Chess Olympiad, and the same applies to the 2024 Olympiad in Hungary. So, why is Israel allowed to participate under the current circumstances? I am boycotting."
