The court has ordered to send 7 people including former Minister of State for Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Hasanul Haque Inu, former social welfare minister Dipu Moni to jail in connection with the murder case of Tejgaon police station. The judge of Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court gave this order on Sunday (September 22). The other accused are former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, journalist couple Sakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa. Earlier, DB Police arrested Inu from a house in Uttara on the afternoon of August 25 in the case of killing students in the quota movement. The next day, the court granted his seven-day remand. Apart from this, on August 14, Zunaid Ahmed Palak from Nikunj residential area of Khilkhet police station of the capital, former minister Dr. Dr. from Baridhara area of the capital on August 19. Dipu Moni, Shakeel and Rupa from Dhaka Airport on August 21, Rashed Khan Menon from his residence in Banani in the capital on August 22 and Abdullah Al Mamun from Dhaka on the night of September 3. It is to be noted that after Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 5 in the face of the student movement, many Awami League ministers-MPs and leaders at various levels went into hiding. Some are able to leave the country but many are being arrested. After Hasina's escape, former law minister Anisul Haque and former prime minister's private industry and investment advisor Salman F Rahman were arrested on August 13. After that many MP-ministers and leaders of Awami League are being arrested one by one.
