The members of Bangladesh's SAFF Champion Women's Football Team have been awarded a cash prize of one crore taka in recognition of their remarkable success. This reward, announced by Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud on behalf of the National Sports Council (NSC), includes checks of 3,12,500 taka each for the 32 team members, distributed through the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). The team was honored on October 31, upon their return to Dhaka, where team captain Sabina Khatun received a dummy check. Bangladesh secured their second consecutive SAFF Championship title on October 30 by defeating Nepal 2-1. In addition to the NSC's reward, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced 2 million taka for the team, while the BFF added a 1.5 crore taka prize. This achievement is seen as a major milestone for women's football in Bangladesh and is expected to inspire and attract more women to the sport.
