South Korean police plan to seek an arrest warrant for a woman who accidentally set her apartment on fire while trying to kill a cockroach with a makeshift flamethrower, according to local reports.
A neighbor died after falling while attempting to escape through a window. The woman, in her 20s, told police she used a lighter and flammable spray — a method she had tried before — when the fire broke out on Monday.
Authorities in Osan said she may face charges of accidental arson and causing death by negligence.
