In Sankrail, Howrah, West Bengal, a shocking incident unfolded when a woman convinced her husband to sell his kidney to fund their daughter’s education and wedding, only to later flee with the money and her lover.
According to Hindustan Times, 49-year-old Pintu Bez married Suparna Bez 16 years ago, and they have a 12-year-old daughter. Due to financial struggles, Suparna urged Pintu to sell his kidney. After nearly a year of searching, he found a buyer and sold his kidney for 10 lakh rupees (about 1.41 lakh taka). Hoping to ease his family’s hardships, he never expected betrayal.
Shortly after receiving the money, Suparna disappeared with a man she met on Facebook. Devastated, Pintu filed a police complaint and later confronted his wife with their daughter and relatives. However, Suparna showed no remorse and threatened divorce, challenging him to take any action.
Police reports reveal that Suparna had already informed investigators in writing that she left voluntarily and was now living as a married couple with her lover. With his health compromised, money gone, and family shattered, Pintu is left in both financial and emotional ruin. He has since taken the matter to the Calcutta High Court, seeking justice against his wife’s deception.
