Speaking at an NCP roadshow under the "Desh Garte July Jagran" campaign in Mongla, Bagerhat, around 9 pm on Wednesday (July 22), Hasnat Abdullah took aim at Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi while referring to the ongoing protests in Delhi. He said, "Wherever Sheikh Hasina goes, that country becomes unstable. If she returns to Bangladesh, it seems Modi may have to return with her. The situation in India has reached a point where Modi himself may have to flee."
During his speech, Hasnat also alleged that the "Hasina structure" still remains in Bangladesh. He discussed the work of the disappearance commission, the country's current political situation, and announced the NCP's mayoral candidate for the upcoming Mongla Port Municipality election.
