Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command, has issued a stark warning that US troops would become "food for the sharks of the Gulf" if they attempt to enter Iranian territory. In a statement on Sunday (March 29), he accused President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately putting American soldiers in serious danger.
Zolfaghari described Trump as an "unstable and lying" leader, claiming he has caused harm worldwide and is now a "puppet" in Netanyahu’s hands. He urged US military officials not to risk soldiers’ lives or captivity simply to satisfy the president.
Meanwhile, Iranian Navy Chief Shahram Irani warned that the US warship Abraham Lincoln would be targeted if it comes within missile range. Amid rising tensions in the Persian Gulf and the strategic Strait of Hormuz, reports of a potential limited US ground operation have further escalated fears. While Washington has not made any final decisions, Iranian officials insist that the US is preparing for war despite public calls for dialogue, raising the threat of direct military conflict in the region.
