Ullas Pal, who has crooked hands and feet, faces significant physical challenges, including difficulty writing and walking. Despite the lack of strength in his right hand, Ullas considers himself mentally healthy and normal. This belief led him to compete in the general category rather than under the handicap quota for the competitive examination. His determination paid off when he was recommended for the 43rd BCS education cadre, having previously taken oral exams in the 40th and 41st BCS, although he did not secure a position then. Born with these physical conditions, Ullas's parents sought treatment, including in India, but saw no improvement. A resident of Bhedarganj upazila in Shariatpur district, Ullas excelled academically, achieving GPA-5 in both his SSC from Kartikpur High School and HSC from Northern College Bangladesh. He then graduated from Dhaka University’s management department and currently works as a senior officer at Pravasi Kalyan Bank. Ullas emphasizes that physical disabilities are beyond one’s control and that he aims to use his abilities to achieve his dreams. Competing with able-bodied candidates, he overcame numerous obstacles without seeking any special concessions.
