Two women in Cumilla were allegedly abducted from a road and gang-raped by several individuals, including Md. Mohsin and Khokon Mia, on January 9. The attack reportedly took place at a sawmill, where the women were detained from noon to afternoon, assaulted, and filmed. The perpetrators allegedly threatened to release the footage online if the victims reported the incident. Out of fear, the victims delayed filing a complaint but reported the crime on January 13 at Nangalkot police station. Attempts to reach the accused were unsuccessful as their phones were switched off. One suspect's father claimed his son was falsely accused. Police have launched an investigation based on the victims' report.
