Two female students at JU arrested for smoking ganja

On October 30, Jahangirnagar University's (JU) proctorial team detained two female students who were found publicly using marijuana near the lake area of the Teachers-Students Center. The students, one from the Fine Arts Department and the other from the Botany Department, both from the 46th batch, were released after signing a pledge. JU Proctor Professor AKM Rashidul Alam stated that the students admitted to using marijuana and were given a warning upon their release. He added that further disciplinary measures would be considered if similar behavior occurred in the future.
