Two leaders of the Islamic University's (IU) Chhatra League have been jailed after being detained while sitting for an exam. The two leaders, Shahinur Pasha, Secretary for Relief and Disaster Management, and Al Amin, Secretary for Drama and Debate, are both students from the 2019-20 academic session in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahfuzur Rahman of Kustia Model Police Station confirmed to Dhaka Post on Thursday evening (October 3) that they were remanded to jail following the filing of a case. The case, numbered 13, was lodged by Zilhaj Hossain of Kumarkhali Upazila under several sections of the Penal Code of 1860, including sections 143, 147, 149, 341, 323, 325, 326, 307, and 114.
