Dhaka University (DU) campus regularly hosts Iftar distributions organized by Chhatra Shibir at various locations. However, on Thursday (March 13), students not only received Iftar but were also given a 500 Taka note each.
It is reported that a Turkish national provided the money for the students. The distribution took place around 4 PM near Surja Sen Hall of the university.
The event was arranged in collaboration with the Turkish organization 'TIKA.' Unlike other days, this Iftar distribution was special, as it benefited around 1,500 students. A video circulating on social media shows students standing in line to receive both Iftar and the cash.
