U.S. President Donald Trump considers himself an "ambassador of peace" and wants to be remembered by this title in history. On Saturday (March 28), in response to a question about his legacy, Trump said, “I want my name to be recorded in history as a great ambassador of peace.”
He added that, although it may not seem that way at present, he truly believes himself to be a peacemaker.
Meanwhile, a CNN report stated that on Friday, Trump mentioned that the United States still has 3,554 targets left to strike in Iran, and these could be destroyed very quickly. He claimed that while Iran was once a powerful country, it has now lost that capability.
Regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran, Trump said, “The war is not over yet, but we must finish it.” Earlier, during a statement at the Oval Office on Tuesday, he had claimed that the U.S. had already achieved victory in the conflict with Iran. Although he prefers not to declare victory outright, he emphasized that America has won this struggle.
