Three robbers who attempted to loot Tk 15 lakh from a Rupali Bank branch in South Keraniganj’s Chunkutia area have surrendered to joint forces. Keraniganj Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC), Sohrab Al Hasan, confirmed the incident on Thursday evening (December 19), stating that four toy pistols and two knives were seized from the robbers, who are now in custody for interrogation. Commander of RAB-10, Khaledul Haque Howlader, reported that negotiations led to the robbers surrendering without incident. No money was stolen, and all hostages were freed unharmed. The detained suspects are aged between 21 and 30. Earlier, law enforcement surrounded the building, which houses the bank on the second floor. A crowd gathered during the operation. Authorities plan to provide further updates after 8 PM.
