Battery-powered rickshaw drivers are protesting in several areas of Dhaka, including Mohakhali, Agargaon, and Mohammadpur Basila, after a court order to stop their movement in the metropolitan area. The protests, which caused severe traffic jams, occurred between 9:30 am and 10:00 am on November 21. Battery drivers even stopped a train at Mahakhali. Despite requests from law enforcement, drivers refused to clear the roads. The High Court's November 19 ruling, led by Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Mahmudur Razi, mandated the suspension of battery-powered rickshaws within three days. The petition was filed by rickshaw association leaders.
