At a zoo in Japan, a macaque named Punch was abandoned by his mother as a baby. The caretakers raised him by hand, but when he grew older and was introduced to other monkeys, he struggled to fit in with the group.
To comfort him, the staff gave Punch a toy as a substitute for his mother. He now keeps it with him all the time, finding solace in it as he would with his mother.
