A police motorcycle was stolen from the premises of Vatara Police Station in the capital, according to police sources. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the theft taking place during the early hours of Saturday (January 11).
The stolen bike, a TVS version motorcycle bearing the Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Faysal’s nameplate, was reportedly left unlocked near the station premises. The ASI stated that he had parked the motorcycle after completing night duty and forgot to secure it before going home. The theft was discovered around 8:00 am.
ASI Faysal said the motorcycle was fitted with a GPS tracker, which may help authorities recover it. He added that he noticed the bike missing after returning home from duty. Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway and efforts are ongoing to locate the stolen motorcycle.
