The Ministry of Interior has announced that students who took part in the mass uprising from July 15 to August 8 will not be subjected to prosecution, arrest, or harassment for their involvement. In a press release on Monday, Senior Information Officer Faisal Hasan stated that following the overthrow of the "tyrannical fascist government" on August 5 through the student-led uprising, a new chapter has begun with the aim of establishing a discrimination-free Bangladesh. The statement further clarified that those who actively contributed to the success of this popular movement will face no legal consequences or harassment related to the events of the July uprising.
