Mohammad A. Arafat, who previously served as the State Minister for Information under Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government— which was removed from power following a mass uprising— expressed to Deutsche Welle that the Awami League has no intention of participating in any election conducted under Muhammad Yunus.
Furthermore, he emphasized that Sheikh Hasina will continue to lead the Awami League, asserting that no force in Bangladesh has the power to ban the party. He justified this by stating that it was the Awami League that played a pivotal role in the country's creation.
